This lamp is a project I did on the Design Academy Eindhoven. The assignment was to design a product witch you where able to produce yourself. I came op whit the idea to make a reading light whit an bookmark, I thought it would be quite sympathetic if your able to hang your book on the page you ended. I created the shade and bookmark out of a laser cut shape out of PMMA (acrylate), by heating it in specific places I was able to make really nice curves and twists. To work precisely I had to create some tools, to heat the right areas and bend the right angles. The fitting, wire and lamp are just bought parts, the connection to the wall is don by using a Tessa Power strip witch is really strong and easy to remove.
